During NHL All-Star Weekend, on Thursday February 4th, Black Girl Hockey Club Canada collaborated with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hockey Equality! The collaboration included a skate offered for BIPOC girls playing boys AAA or girls AA hockey, at Nathan Phillips Square! The skate was lead by trailblazing coaches including Angela James, Vicky Sunohara, Nyla Brooks, Rose Powers, Kryshandra Green and Saroya Tinker. After the skate, the girls attended the NHL All-Star Draft and PWHL 3v3 to watch their idols play. Special thank you and shout out to Mark Fraser for bringing this all to fruition through the NHL's Player Inclusion Coalition.
